Spellbinders - Mushroom Mansion (Out and About Collection)

Hello again!  As promised, I'm back with another card using yet another wonderful die set sent to me by Spellbinders.  My card today features the Mushroom Mansion die set.

Please ignore the fact that my mansion appears to be sliding off a hill.
I didn't notice it until I was finished, of course.  I hope it's owner is well insured.

This time I did something different (gasp!) and colored my white die cuts using  original Distress ink (not Oxides) and the direct to paper method.  By that I mean that I took each mini ink cube in hand and rubbed it over the die cuts without the use of a blender or brush which allows for a deeper rich tone to the elements.  I did use a blender brush for the background (light blue cardstock) in order to get the look of sky.  I rummaged through my stamp stash and found a whimsical font that looked perfect for this style of card.  I hope to make another card combining the new gnome from last week with this cute little gnome home.

Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp - Artsy Pumpkins stamp set
Distress Ink cubes

Many thanks to Spellbinders Paper Arts for graciously sharing some of their wonderful products with me.  Stayed tuned as I am now working on a few holiday cards using some Better Press products also sent to me.

Thanks for visiting!!!  Your time is much appreciated.

Spellbinders - Dancin' in the Rain (Out and About Collection)

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing two more cards using products sent to me by Spellbinders.  Both feature the Dancin' in the Rain etched die sets from their June 2024 Out and About Collection.

For my first card I once again utilized my go-to "die cut in white and blend with Distress Oxide inks" method.  This time I used soft pinks, blues and greens.

I even remembered to grab a photo of the inks I used.

After blending out the background panel I sprayed it with a silver glitter spray so it has a really pretty shimmer to it in real life.  In addition to the cute umbrella holding human (in my case, a girl) I added in some florals from the Garden Buddies set I showcased previously as well as a sentiment from the Santa's Sippin' Sayings stamp set I purchased myself.  I stamped and die cut it in a circle and added it to the middle of her umbrella.

Supplies:
Spellbinders - Garden Buddies die set
silver glitter spray

My second card is more of the CAS variety and features a cute little duck also in the set.  I die cut these in white as well but opted to color them with Copic alcohol markers for a more vibrant look.

I just love their little rain bonnets and booties!  The background texture of the panel was achieved with the use of the Plaid Company embossing folder.  The sentiment is from my stash and also a NBUS product so I'll be sharing this in Darnell's gallery as well.

Supplies:
Concord & 9th - Bunch of Blossoms stamp set
Copics

Many thanks to Spellbinders Paper Arts for graciously sharing some of their wonderful products with me.  Stayed tuned as I will have more cards in store soon.

Thanks for visiting!!!  Your time is much appreciated.

Spellbinders - Garden Buddies (Out and About Collection)

I'm back again today with another card created from goodies sent to me by Spellbinders.  The Garden Buddies die set, from the Out and About Collection, features a cute gnome, bird and florals and I used them all on today's card.

The elements were all die cut from white cardstock and colored with Distress Oxides.  I love this method as you can pick and choose any color of the rainbow for your design.  The background appears to have some depth to it with blues and fushias however it's all Seedless Preserves.  As Bob would say, "A Happy Accident."

I arranged the elements on a (fancy) die cut circle and added a sentiment tag to the lower bottom right.   This color combo really makes me smile.  (An acceptable shade of purple. *wink*)

Supplies:
Spellbinders - Garden Buddies die set
Spellbinders - Swallowtail Tags die set
Spellbinders - Elegant Twist Circle die set
Spellbinders - Essential Sentiments stamp set

Thanks so much to Spellbinders for the products and thanks so much to my readers for visiting!  I appreciate each and every one of you.

Spellbinders - Roller Disco Dottie (Out and About Collection)

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today I'm sharing a card created with dies from the new Out and About Collection by Spellbinders.  I am always honored when they bless me with pieces from their newest releases to share with you.

Today's card showcases a cute roller skating dog called Roller Disco Dottie.  I knew I wanted to create something a bit different with this set so I looked through my latest Spellbinder purchases and thought the umbrella from another recent set would work nicely.  Another rummage through some extremely old products revealed this sentiment stamp from MFT and voila!  An offbeat Get Well card was born.

The dog and the bottom section of the umbrella were cut from white cardstock and then ink blended in Distress Oxides.  The remainder of the dies were cut from colored cardstocks.  The sentiment was stamped onto a panel of white cardstock that was later embossed with a 3D folder.  After that it was just a matter of assembly.

Supplies:
Spellbinders - Geo Screen embossing folder (no longer available, sorry)
Spellbinders - Rain or Shine die set (purchased myself)
MFT - Get Well Wishes stamp set

Thanks so much for visiting my little corner of the blogosphere!  I will be sharing more cards with additional Spellbinder goodies later this week.

Happy Dance Day 2 - Spellbinders Dancin' Mummy

As promised, I'm back today with another card creation made with a brand new die set from Spellbinders.  Today's card features Dancin' Mummy from their Boo Dance Party Collection which was released on August 14th.  (If you missed my Dancin' Ghost cards you can find my post here.)

As with Dancin' Ghost, this cute mummy has detached legs which are designed to produce a swinging motion when the card is tilted.  Spellbinders has released a set of sentiment stamps that coordinate with their Dancin' line of dies but alas, I don't currently own them.  I opted for a punny greeting of my own that I think gives this card a bit more versatility.

I began by die cutting his rags/bandages from a pale gray cardstock which I grunged up with some Distress Oxide.  The body/eyes were cut from from a pale blush and black cardstock, respectively.  I adhered the bandages to his body/legs with liquid glue and then set about to create my background.

I used an embossing folder from Fun Stampers Journey to create a 3D cloud texture onto a panel of black cardstock.  To accentuate the clouds I added a soft blend of white pigment ink over top.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink using individual alpha stamps and then heat embossed it in white.  I adhered the mummy's body to my background using a plastic disk behind the legs so that they could swing freely.  Before adhering the panel to my card base I matted it with a narrow border of gray cardstock.

I hope you enjoy today's creation.  I'm including links to the supplies below. (These will be replaced with affliate links soon.)

Head in the Clouds embossing folder (I used a discontinued one from Fun Stampers Journey however this one will work just as well.)

My thanks to Yana and Spellbinders for the wonderful opportunity to play with these cute die sets.  I hope I've inspired you to check out their newest releases which include Christmas themed sets as well.

And, as always, thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!

Happy Dance...Literally - Dancin' Ghost from Spellbinders

Imagine my surprise to discover an email from Spellbinders earlier this summer asking me if I'd like to play along with a few pre-release die sets.  Let's just say that my response was a very quick "Yes!"  Not only am I honored at the opportunity but also honored that my little crafty creations caught someone's eye.  In the midst of a very sad summer this was definitely a boost for me.

Today I'm sharing two cards created using dies from the Spellbinders Boo Dance Party Collection which was released yesterday.  This die set, Dancin' Ghost, was totally calling out my name.

The Dancin' Ghost set includes a ghost with detached swinging legs, a pumpkin bucket, a paper sack, candy and a sentiment.  My card below was created with the ghost and pumpkin bucket.

I was looking to create a whimsical Halloween card so I chose some bright dye inks, created my own stencil from a transparency and went to work with some ink blending.  The ghost was die cut from white cardstock, the eyes from black and the legs from a combination of teal and white.  The legs are a separate die made with an open circle at the top so that, when adhered with a plastic stacker, they swing freely when the card is tilted.  The jack-o-lantern candy bucket was die cut from orange and black cardstocks.  The speech bubble stamp is from an older discontinued Ellen Hutson as is the sentiment stamp which was heat embossed in white.  I adhered the ghost with foam tape and popped up the card panel using piece of very thin fun foam.  I really love the playful feel to this "not so spooky" card.

My second card is a horizontal slimline and features the ghost in triplicate along with additional Spellbinder dies from my stash.  It most definitely has the traditional spooky Halloween vibe to it.

I began this card with the background.  I used several Distress Oxide inks to blend out the night time sky, adding in splatters of white and black ink.  The sidewalk is merely a strip of gray cardstock that I manually scored to create a bit of texture.

All die cutting for this card was done with white cardstock which I colored with Copic markers.  The paper bags, jack-o-lantern and BOO dies are included in the Dancin' Ghost set.  The door is from an older Spellbinders Die of the Month kit as is the arm you see poking out from behind the door.  I thought together this made for a fun scene.

I hope you enjoy today's creations.  I'm including links to the currently available supplies below. (These will be replaced with affliate links soon.)

Door - Always Welcome (Die of the Month Oct. 2020)
Arm - First Crush (Die of the Month Jan. 2019)

Please visit back tomorrow for another card share which uses another new set called Dancin' Mummy.

My thanks to Yana and Spellbinders for the wonderful opportunity to play with these cute die sets.

And, as always, thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!
