Freshly Made Sketches #530

I'm popping in really quick to share a card I created yesterday for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  I haven't had much time for non-DT crafting so I am excited that I could fit this in.

Here is the sketch on which my design was based.

I took the artistic liberty of using a partial circle as my main element rather than the round cornered square.  The wide black stripes are actually a sheet of very old 12x12 acetate that I pulled from my stash.  I adhered it to the white card base using double sided tape behind the black stripes.  I stamped and Copic colored in the coffee girl, cut it out with a circle die and adhered it to the acetate as shown in the sketch.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black over a strip of matching Copic colored cardstock.  I love how it turned out and may make a second card with some of the remaining acetate.

Supplies:
Penny Black - Love Ya.... stamp set
Ellen Hutson - A Breve Note stamp set
MFT - Stitched Dome die
Teresa Collins - acetate sheet

I'll be back on Thursday for not one, but two posts.  Until then, thank you so much for spending a bit of your day with me.

Freshly Made Sketches #473

I'm popping in really quick to slip in a card for the current challenge over at the Freshly Made Sketches blog which ends in just a few hours.  Here is the sketch...

And here is my very simple card.

I used a stencil to ink blend a rectangle into the center of a panel of white cardstock.  I then die cut it using two different sizes of rectangular stitched dies.  I reassembled the pieces onto a card base of a similar shade as the blending.  I die cut the word Thanks from some glossy cardstock, adhered it to the center of the panel and then added some die cut hearts embellished with Glossy Accents.  Simple and straight to the point.  Thanks to you all for stopping by!

Supplies:
Taylored Expressions - rectangle stencil
MFT - Big Thanks die
Martha Stewart - heart punch
Tonic - Black Mirror cardstock
Distress Oxide

Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #465

My Christmas cards are postal and my DT assignments are done for the year so it's time to play!  The first challenge up is from the team over at Freshly Made Sketches.   When I saw this week's sketch I knew I had to play along.

I grabbed one of my favorite 25 Days of Christmas tags and turned it into a card.

I stamped a panel of white cardstock with a crisp black pigment ink and then cut it down for a nice wide border on my black card base.  I adhered the tag and added a few red pearls.  I'm not sure it totally fits with their rules since I've shared the tag previously but I'll let them decide.  I love it and think I'll turn a few more of my 2020 tags into cards.

Supplies:
Lil Inkers - Santa die
Ellen Hutson - Tis the Season stamp set
PaperTrey Ink - holly die
MFT - All Lined Up Diagonally background stamp

Stay safe and healthy my friends!
