Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #195

Happy Weekend to all!  It's hard to believe that it's already October.  Hopefully many of you are reaping the benefits of cooler temperatures.  Unfortunately I'm going to have to keep cranking our AC for a couple more months yet.  *sigh*

Today starts a new challenge over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and Edna has chosen a very universal theme ---  B is for Birthday.

Did you catch the Subtle Snark? hahahaha!

Looking at it now, I think I may have gotten carried away.
The big polkas seemed a good idea at the time.....

Groovy card Jules but where's the snark?

This time it's hidden on the inside.

My card began with the idea of the hippie van and hued rainbow.  I stamped, colored (Copics) and fussy cut my van adding a layer of glossy accents to the windshield and tires.  I then selected cardstocks in an orange/yellow/pink theme which I die cut using a ray shaped die.  I cut the individual rays apart so I could arrange and place each one in a dark to light order.  The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock and heat embossed in white.  I glued the van to the completed set of cardstock rays with the intention of adhering it straight to a black card base however it seemed rather plain.  It was at this point that I got the idea to add some groovy cardstock circles and white gems.

Soooo....a super groovy card or a frightful mess?  No matter.  Someone will love it, right?  :-)

I invite you to visit our blog for more inspiration from the Sistahs and our Reigning Queen Melanie.  We'd love to see your card in our gallery!  (Snark is appreciated but not a requirement to play.)

Supplies:
Ellen Hutson - Tripping stamp set
Ellen Hutson - Silver Linings die set
Two Lips - sentiment stamp (name unknown)
HoneyBee Stamps - white gem stickers

Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends.   _____________________________________________________________________________
