Challenges, Challenges, Challenges. If only all I had to do in life was to read books and play along with card challenges. :(Trust me, some days I do give it my all!)
The current theme for the Seize the Birthday challenge is butterflies.
Our "Toppings" option this time is...
"Butterflies"
I went with a non-traditional card size. The dimensions are 3.5" x 5.5" and I'm rather digging it.
I grabbed from my scrap pile to create this card. The card base is from Michael's Recollections 110 lb. card stock collection. I never use it to color but do use it frequently as card bases as it is quite sturdy and now comes in an array of colors. This one is a blushy-pink.
The butterfly dies are from Clearly Besotted and they consist of an upper and lower layer. The lower layer was cut from a piece of leftover designer paper scrap. I also used it to cut the mini frame from Altenew's fine frame die collection. (You will be seeing it again soon on another card.) The background clouds are from KatScrappiness . The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti. Hard to see but I embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. And speaking of glitter, I used some really, really old Martha Stewart glitter on the top of the butterflies. (Simple to do with spray adhesive and a bit of burnishing.)
I think I know exactly who I'll be sending this out to in a few months. *wink* (You know who you are....act surprised. LOL!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!
See you all on the crafty side....
Jules
Since I no longer celebrate birthdays, sadly I know it's not for me... but someone is going to adore it as much as I do! Glittering gorgeousness, Jules!
