Fun Day Tomorrow!

Tomorrow (Friday the 6th) I am headed to the MFT Stamps Boutique in Eustis, Florida for the next stop on Kathy Racoosin Road Trip.  MFT Stamps definitely knows my address *blush* but being two and a half hours away (and off the beaten path), I've never had the opportunity to visit their boutique so I'm excited on both counts.  Of course when I signed up for this the past spring I had no idea how busy I would be right now.  So much to do and so little time for it all but you make time for what you love.

My Favorite Things

I'm hoping Kathy has some great tips for this mediocre colorist but I'll settle for learning by osmosis.  LOL!!!  My stuff is packed, I have a new audio book downloaded, and I'll be ready to hit the road early, early tomorrow.  I'll let you all know how it was when I return but I am hoping to do a little IG'ing tomorrow from the boutique.  Til next time....

25 Days of Tags - Post 4

Well, I didn't make it back to blogging on Monday but Wednesday is a close second.  ;-)

I have been speed crafting up a storm in order to finish up Tracey's 25 Days of Tag Series before the deadline.  (As my Christmas cards collect dust....)

To simply my life, you can find details on her blog.  In a nutshell though, each day showcases a different manufacturer.  We, the participants, create a tag or tags inspired by her one of her Design Team examples.  Here are my tags for Days 16-20.  For more details on the folks who inspired me as well as the products I've chosen and, please follow me on IG @juliepeddicord

Day 16

Day 17

Day 18

More Day 18

And More Day 18

Day 19

Day 20
(Sorry, couldn't get a good photo to save my soul.)

I completed all 25 tags plus the bonus day last night so the blog run of tags will be coming to a close very soon.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you all on the crafty side ....

25 Days of Tags - Post 3

I hope everyone here in the states had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.  I am currently out of town visiting my parents while the rest of my immediate family is home with working and/or studying.

I hope not to make this a habit but here is another quick "post and run."  As before, I'm coping the following from my first tag post.  The tags here are for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Tags 9th Annual Holiday Series.  As of writing, she's currently on Day 24.  Me?  I'm only on Day 19 so I have some scrambling to do once I return home.  For now, here are the details....

To simply my life, you can find details on her blog.  In a nutshell though, each day showcases a different manufacturer.  We, the participants, create a tag or tags inspired by her one of her Design Team examples.  Here are my tags for Days 11-15.  For more details on the folks who inspired me as well as the products I've chosen and, please follow me on IG @juliepeddicord

This one opens up into a slider.
Of course I had to make some with my grandson Fin in mind.  :-)

Sisterhood #148

More holiday procraftination today as I play along with The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers once again.  The prompt is "Q is for Quip" and it's just too good for my inner snark to pass up.  I may even try to sneak in another card in a day or two.  (And my Christmas cards may turn out to be New Year's cards.  LOL!)

Here's Edna.

And here is my card.

And a closer look.

Speaking from experience *blush* I can attest that this sentiment is absolutely, positively true.  Let's just say "Julie don't do tequila anymore" and leave it at that.  Ha!!!

Sentiment - Riley and Company
Margarita - Taylored Expressions
Stripes - MFT Stamps

Thanks for spending time with me during this busy week here in the states.  See ya on the crafty side.....

Seize the Birthday #179

My tags are not caught up nor are my holiday cards finished but I'm throwing it all to the wind to squeeze in a few of my favorite challenges.  Today's card(s) were created with the current Seize the Birthday challenge in mind.  The toppings this time around are "A Touch of Red."

I have two cards to share today.  I made the first one with just the tiniest touch of red.

My second card uses the same products but has a bit more red in the color scheme.  I created it for one of my long time girlfriends who celebrated a birthday last Saturday.  She loves gnomes and is currently into a skin care product that contains goat milk.  I incorporated both in her card.

She loved her card.  :-)

The gnome and goat are from HoneyBee Stamps.  The birthday sentiment is from Altenew.  The scalloped border on card one is from LilInkers.

Sorry to post and run but those holiday cards and tags aren't gonna make themselves.  LOL!

Thanks all.  See you on the crafty side....

CAS Colour and Sketch #348

I've been missing my weekly challenge fix so last night I shoved aside (literally, SHOVED) my holiday cards and tags and whipped up a few birthday and thank you cards.  Today's featured card is for the CAS Colours and Sketch Blog where the prompt is...

I went through my Copics and found colors to closely match the Stampin' Up inks they use in their challenges.  Keeping it Clean and Simple as per their rules I came up with this....

A closer look.

I really love how it turned out and plan to make more once the holiday crunch is over.  The stamp is from The Stamp Market, one of my favorite newer stamp companies.  The frame is one single stamp so it's easy peasy to create a focal image that looks so much more complicated.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm back to work at my holiday cards.   See you on the crafty side ....

25 Days of Tags - Post 2

First off, my sincere apologies.  When I mentioned that I might be absent a bit I had no idea it would be for this long.  My computer died last Wednesday and had to be resuscitated by the Geek Squad.  I was so lost.  Far more lost than is probably healthy.  The good news is that it's working like new so I'm back in business.

On to tags.   I'm copying and pasting from my last tag post....

To simply my life, you can find details on her blog.  In a nutshell though, each day showcases a different manufacturer.  We, the participants, create a tag or tags inspired by her one of her Design Team examples.  Here are my tags for Days 6-10.  For more details on the folks who inspired me as well as the products I've chosen and, please follow me on IG @juliepeddicord

Day 6

Day 7

Day 8

Day 9

Day 10

Again, for more details please look up me up on Instagram.  Thanks.

The burning question....are my holiday cards done?  Ummmm....that would be a resounding NO!  Eek!  But I'm plugging away at them in between tags.  I'm also hoping to squeeze in another challenge card or two this week along with more tags.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  See you on the crafty side.....
