Hello Crafty Friends! I am the hostess of our latest Color Hues challenge and I've chosen the combination of Teal and Orange for you to work with this fortnight. I unintentionally had myself a die cutting marathon, resulting in three cards and four tags to share with you all today. Let's start with the one I posted on the Color Hues blog...
NBUS!
into my NBUS bin I also made this card.
NBUS!
And I certainly couldn't waste the
remaining florals, so tags it was!
Card #1 and #3and began with an ombre' direct ink pad to paper technique with three teal hues of Catherine Pooler dye ink.
Card #1 utilizes die cut florals, an embossed vase and a die cut sentiment.
Card #3 uses sky themed dies, a die cut penguin and a Better Pressed sentiment.
Card #2 utilizes a bunch of leftover florals arranged on a teal panel of cardstock. This small panel was adhered to white cardstock die cut with a cover plate. This entire piece was then adhered to a black card base. The sentiment and shadow were also die cut.
The tags were created with all of the floral bits and bobs leftover along with the same die cut sentiment used on my first card.

As Michele mentioned, I came to get a better look at your vase of flowers and was pleasantly inspired by that and so much more. Darling Penguin card and tags too. Your inlay card is super cool as well with that fun background. So much to look at on this post. Great colors and thanks for inspiring us. The gallery is going to be awesome!
ReplyDeleteWow, Jules! Not only a great call of colors but lots of fantastic creations to go with them! I love this big vase of flowers! Scattering leftover flowers on another card was a brilliant idea and that penguin with his umbrella makes me smile! Those tags will come in handy, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteYour cards and tags are ALL FABULOUS Jules! I love the ombre backgrounds on cards 1 & 3 and how perfectly the orange POPS against the teal shades! Great way to use up all those flowers too...the tags are wonderful and so great to have on hand when needed for a gift. This was a great color combination my friend and I truly enjoyed playing with these colors! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteMy, you have been on a roll with these die cuts Jules, What a great showcase for your choice of colours. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, no one could do a better job than you have with demonstrating how versatile this color combo is! Amazing cards and tags. My fave is the first one. The vase with the bright flowers against the dark background is just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI just went to Spellbinders to check out Fresh Picked Vase die. Your card outshines all the samples on the SB site!
