Color Hues #28

The new color duo over at the Color Hues challenge blog
has a very old fashioned Christmas vibe to it.

I briefly thought about making something other than a holiday card but why buck the trend, right?

To create my card I first stamped the truck and tree onto some vintage-y patterned paper which I then fussy cut.  Patterned paper was also used to create the snowbank and border.  I used a snowfall stencil along with some glimmer paste to create the background onto a kraft panel.  I should have stamped the sentiment first but I wasn't thinking.  Fortunately the pigment ink covered the glittery snowfall with no problems.  I then assembled my card onto a kraft card base and added some Stickles to the ornaments as a finishing touch.

I always enjoy playing with the Color Hues crew.  If you haven't played along, I encourage you to check them out.

Supplies:
Stampendous - Truck Stamp CLD01
MFT - Snowfall stencil
Stickles
Tonic - Moonstone glimmer paste

Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends.   _____________________________________________________________________________

  1. Red and kraft are a perfect pairing for Christmas cards like this one! I love the little truck carrying the tree, and all those great layers of dsp and stenciling make for one fun card!

  4. When I think Christmas, I think snow covered hills, a pickup truck with a Christmas tree in the back! You nailed it and the raised snow was a super idea too! Awesome card, Jules!
