CAS Colours and Sketches #424

We're cruisin' through the month as it's time for another color challenge over at the CAS Colours and Sketches challenge blog.  Shannon has chosen a bright trio for us to play with this week.

For our color challenges, you must use all of the stated challenge colors. You may also use neutrals
such as white, ivory, black, brown, grey, or metallics; however, no other colors should be added to
your card. We use Stampin' Up color names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other
companies' products as long as you match the challenge colors as closely as possible.

I went back to one of my tried true designs for this quick card.

I stamped and die cut the telephone in pink and adhered it to the lower right corner of a card panel that was previously textured using a linen cover plate.  I brought in the yellow with the cord and heart and stamped the sentiment in black.  Using a background stamp, I heat embossed horizontal stripes in white onto an olive green card panel.  I added the narrowest of black mats to the white panel before adhering it to the green one which was then all adhered to a white card base.  I added white Nuvo drops to the phone dial and a diagonal sprinkling of clay hearts to finish off the design.

I invite you to visit the blog and play along with the team.  We'd love to see your card in our gallery.

Pink Paisley - Switchboard stamp/die set (NBUS from 2014...*blush*)
MFT - Candy Stripes background stamp

  1. I LOVE a vintage phone Julie and oh my goodness, wouldn't a bright pink one with a yellow cord be quite the design statement!! The little hearts and nuvo drops are a pretty touch and I love that sentiment. Vicky x

  2. That's so clever - I wouldn't have thought of a pink phone with a mango lead, but it's just perfect! Deborah x

  3. Love this retro-inspired vintage telephone Jules - and I am totally hoping it says 'I love you' inside your card (I now have a new earworm lol!)
