Hello friends. It's time for another color challenge over at the CAS Colours and Sketches blog. Wei has chosen a very pretty color trio for us this week.
For our color challenges, you must use all of the stated challenge colors. You may also use neutrals
such as white, ivory, black, brown, grey, or metallics; however, no other colors should be added to
your card. We use Stampin' Up color names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other
companies' products as long as you match the challenge colors as closely as possible.
After pulling out an intricate layering stencil it seemed a shame to make just one card so I created two. I chose this first card to display on the challenge blog.
And here's a second similar, yet different bonus card.
The technique is similar for both cards. I began with three dye inks that closely matched this week's color trio and used them to create the blended patterns through the five floral stencils in the set. Both cards have a stamped black sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment in clear for card one. The sentiment on card two has a layer of glossy accents over top as do the florals. I used a decorative panel die and sequins to finish off card one. The simple panel on card two is set off by a narrow white border with a finishing detail of glossy white drops on the small flower centers.
Supplies:
PinkFresh Studio - Hanging Garden stencil set
The Greetery - Opposites Attract stamp set
Mama Elephant - Peek a Frame die set
Tonic Studios - Nuvo Drops in Gloss White
Pretty Pink Posh - Sparkling Clear Sequins
Ranger - Glossy Accents

Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends. _____________________________________________________________________________

I love both of these cards Julie but must confess I think the postage-stamp diecut edge and the use of pink just for the flowers on the first one give it the edge. So pretty and I love the bold black sentiments too!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Julie! I love the stencilling and those wonderful sentiments. Vicky x
