Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - #173

It's been a crazy busy week in my house so I'm gonna get right down to business. Edna and The Sisterhood have a new challenge for you this fortnight.  Our current prompt is

P is for Penguin

If I lived in a cold climate I'd totally want one of these penguin onsies.   I wonder if Target makes them?  Seriously.

On to my card!  Give Edna some ice skates and get ready for a Penguin Party!

Every penguins in my stamp stash is sporting ice skates so I had no choice but to go for it.  I mean really....what could be more fun than ice skating on a cocktail?  (We're pretending this alcohol was stored at -100C or below.  The scientist in me feels the need to make a disclaimer.  Sorry.)

I created my background using the embossing folder/ink technique I've explained in previous posts.  It's such a fun way to get an entirely new look.  I stamped and (Copic) colored my penguins and cocktails and adhered them to the swirly background.  The sentiment is heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.  I adhered the cut down panel to a turquoise card base and added in a few icy clear droplets.

Supplies:
Avery Elle - Brrring on the Joy stamp set
MFT - Christmas Cocktails stamp set
MFT - Sassy Pants Holiday Sentiment stamp set
Fun Stampers Journey - Wind and Water embossing folder
Ellen Hutson - clear droplets

Come join the (penguin) party, check out the blog. and while you're there, give my fellow Sisters some love!

Stay safe and healthy my friends!

  5. Target is the number one source for adult onesies, is it not? :D And oh, horror, what if those are more-easy-to-freeze MOCKtails! :o All that aside, this is one fabulous card.

  6. I've seen astronaut and unicorn onesies at Target, so a penguin onesie seems perfectly achievable there. LOL! Your card is so adorable!
