CAS(e) This Sketch #365

If you have little ones at home you're probably finding yourself stretched pretty thin right about now.  That's no longer the case for me so I've suddenly found myself with all of the time in the world but little mojo.   Is anyone else finding it hard to stay focused?  I turned to a sketch from the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge blog to get the creative juices flowing.

I knew immediately that I wanted to flip the sketch upside down and use the V patterns to create a spotlight effect.

I colored and cut out my little people and then placed them onto piece of Neenah Solar White measuring 4" x 5.25"  to determine the ideal width of my spotlight band.  To create the background I first masked off the outer edges of the panel using low tack painters tape.  I did some ink blending in the upside down V area with Distress Oxide ink in the color Bundled Sage.  I then masked the panel in reverse (protecting the green area) and blended that out in the color Faded Jeans.  I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner as per the sketch, adhered the happy little people and then glued the whole panel onto the front of a light grey card.

I thought this would make a cute "just because" card to send to a friend during this crazy time of ours.  Stay safe and stay healthy my friends!

Supplies:
Waffle Flower - Hello stamp set
Distress Oxide inks

  2. Lack of focus - YES! So far challenges aren't helping, either. I love these little WF people, and they're perfect for the spotlight treatment!
