CAS Colours and Sketches #364

As March would have it, there are five Tuesdays this month so guess what?  We're doing a double the fun challenge at the CAS Colours and Sketches blog.  Here's the current challenge...

So the idea is to create a card using both the sketch and the three colors illustrated above it.  As always, you may use whatever brand of ink, cardstock, markers, etc you have in your stash as long as they're similar to the Stampin' Up ones named above.  You are also free to add neutrals but this trio of colors should be the only other ones used on your card.

Here's my card.

I chose to use large patterned circles as my focal design and stamped them out using three colors of Distress Oxide ink.  (Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold and Bundled Sage)  I heat embossed my sentiment in white onto a piece of white cardstock that I colored in with the Bundled Sage.  I thought my card front needed just a bit more so I took the liberty of cutting the panel down and adhered it centered vertically onto the card front. I added a line of Liquid Pearls along the edges for another little touch of interest.

I hope to see your card in our gallery!

Supplies:
Lil Inkers - Spiffy Spots stamp set
Penny Black - Million Thanks stamp set
Distress Oxide
Liquid Pearls in Gold Pearl

  1. Love your modern take on the flowers. The sparkle on the edges are a very pretty touch. I like the matting also. Nothing wrong with extra dimension, texture, pattern, etc. in my book.
