I've been playing along with The Library Craft Challenge for several weeks now and even though I'm a huge reader I have yet to actually read one of their featured books. That may change with this one.
This week's featured book is Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. After reading The Aviator's Wife by Melanie Benjamin, I have a huge amount of respect for this lady.
The cover is beautiful.
Using the shell as my inspiration, this is my card.
I used the Spring Wreath die from WPlus9 and a conch shell stamp from a really, really old set made by Kaisercraft. The sentiment is from MFT Stamps.
I'm off to decide just which challenge I want to tackle next.
Thanks!
Jules
You tackle all these challenges with a wide-open view, Julie... and are the lucky one to have such a beautiful shell in your stash - but why would that surprise me?
ReplyDeleteI may just have to take a look at this book, too!

Gorgeous card! Jo x
ReplyDeleteYou know, this book was chosen by the Visiting Librarian and until I read your post I had no idea the author was connected to the Lindbergh baby case! Interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour cas card is a perfect interpretation of this challenge - so peaceful and elegant.
