Well it's July. Are we having fun yet? I think your answer to that question may be a direct function of where in the world you reside.
Fortunately we have another Color Hues challenge to distract us from world chaos. Tracey is our host and she's chosen the combination of Red and White as our duo. I added some touches of black and grey as my qualifying neutrals.
This is for all of those who need a hug today.
I had a heck of a time getting a semi decent photo of this one. Sorry, after 10,000 backgrounds and orientations this was the best I could manage.
I die cut and assembled my lighthouse and boulder and added it to a white cardstock panel embossed with rope texture. The sentiment was die cut, stamped and heat embossed in white. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base.

Your lighthouse scene is perfect for this combination - and evokes a place of sanctuary when we need to retreat from the craziness in the world. Happy Canada Day!

Awesome card Jules! Your lighthouse looks wonderful in the red & white and I love the embossing folder you used for your background too...so much so that I had to order one for me! You enabler you!! Haha! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteLove the EF you've used in the background here Jules. The lighthouse stands firm against the stormy waters, a very appropriate image for today's troubled world. :)
ReplyDeleteOutstanding, Jules! I love that EF so much and your lighthouse is just perfect! It appears to be trying to light our way. As far as the craziness of the world, I just can hardly believe half of it is even true. Sad sad times.
ReplyDeleteThis red and white lighthouse is so pretty, Jules! I love the embossed rope net in the background! Hopefully it will light our way to peace.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so perfect for a lighthouse, and I love the accompanying sentiment. Is there any place of sanctuary right now? Things keep getting more insane by the day. But at least we can have a small respite looking at beautiful cards such as yours, Jules!
ReplyDeleteI love that background rope! I've never seen it before and it's so perfect with your lighthouse. I took a photos of a lighthouse last summer that looks just like this one--so beautiful (both yours and the one in Michigan.)
ReplyDeleteJules I love your lighthouse and that fabulous rope embossed background! Great way to use the black to support the elements cut from red and grey! So lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. I love the lighthouse. The embossed background is perfection. Great design.
ReplyDeleteI am loving that deeply embossed rope background for your pretty light house!
