I'm here today to share my card for the newest Color Hues challenge. Nancy is our host and I must be on her bad side because she's chosen a shade of purple once again. *wink* I chose my least offense shades to add to the other hue, which I happen to love. The official hues for this fortnight are Lilac and Aqua.
My card panel is white but the lighting is skewing it a bit blueish.
I dove back into my NBUS (yes, it seems bottomless, doesn't it?) and pulled out this floral set from Spellbinders. It was designed to work with the Modern Oval die set however I chose to slap them onto a rectangular panel.
I die cut the florals and vase in shades of lilac and aqua. I die cut some of the centers from silver metallics. The aqua border fits snugly around the white card base. I die cut the sentiment in aqua and added some gems as a finishing touch.
If you use my Spellbinders Affiliate Links to make any purchase it earns me a bit of crafting cash at no additional expense to you. TIA!

Tired of me yet, Darnell?
I invite you to visit our blog and play along with the gallery. Remember: do not add any colors other than neutrals as it disqualifies it from being chosen as a winner.
Thanks so much for visiting! Your time is appreciated.

Hahahah! You could never be on my bad side. I do not know why I always pick purple, besides that I try to pick something that hasn't been done in awhile, so perhaps you are not the only one that detests that color. LOL Such a pretty card, Jules. I certainly am thinking a lot about getting that vase die. Or perhaps, I will just have to cut a bunch when I see you. Thanks for making my colors look so good! Have a happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteBut you use purple beautifully, Jules, as you've demonstrated right here! What a beautiful bouquet!
ReplyDeleteYou might not like lilac but you've certainly used it to great effect in this card Jules, beautiful floral make. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you've used the lilac color beautifully too Jules and it pairs perfectly with your shade of aqua! Such a pretty floral set too! You definitely made this color pairing SHINE my friend...lovely, lovely card!! Hugs. :0)

ReplyDeleteYour vase of flowers is absolutely gorgeous; I want a real life version for my kitchen table. A lovely showcase of your new products and, more important, a creative version of how wonderful this colour combination can be (even if you're not a fan of hues of 'purple' LOL!).

Ohhhhhhhhhhh that colour combo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo funny Jules, purple is a tricky colour for a lot of people. I love the colour purple but I'm not a huge fan of designing with it, strange. I commented on IG but had to visit, its so lovely!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Well, you did an amazing job with the purple shade. This is gorgeous xxx
ReplyDeleteIs Nancy like Santa, keeping a list of who's naughty or nice lol? You're so funny! You made a beautiful card with these colors Jules, and yes, I look forward to seeing the latest NBUS items. I don't know about you but I keep adding to mine, despite my determination not to do so earlier this year. I love the metallic too, it adds a wonderful bit of glam to these pretty flowers.
