Hello my crafty friends! The Color Hues team has joined up with the team at the Inkspirational Challenge to bring you a very special challenge this fortnight. Tracey, our host, has chosen the wonderful February combination of Red and Pink. Carol Mayne and her Inkspirational DT will also be using these colors for their current challenge. We encourage you to visit and play along with both sites for some wonderful inspiration and perhaps additional exposure to your blogs.
I had extra post holiday time on my hands so I made myself a two-fer. (This is also my second post of the day so if you missed my post for the Sisterhood you can find it here.)
Up first is a very boldly colored Thank You card.
I used several pieces from a NBUS nesting postage stamp die set to create a color blocked effect. I dug deep for itty bitty floral pieces and added a bold Thanks to the center.
Up next is a traditional Valentine.
Supplies:
Unity Stamps - Postage Stamp die set (NBUS)
Spellbinders - Simply Perfect Layered Blooms die set
Spellbinders - Jul7 2018 DOTM (floral dies)
Altenew - Bold Thanks die set
The Greetery - Holding Hands die set - NBUS
Gina K Designs - Llama Love stamp set
Spellbinders - Deco Holiday embossing folder
vellum
I am single handedly filling Darnell's January NBUS gallery.
Again, I'd like to invite you to visit our blogs and hope to see your card in both the Color Hues and Inkspirational galleries. We would love for you to become regulars at both challenges!
Thanks so much for visiting!
Jules
Two wonderful card designs for the challenge Jules! Love those funky die cut flowers on your postage card with the fun die cut white framings and the sweet Valentine of the hands holding the heart (I have that die you have reminded me to get it out!) Julia xx
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, Jules! Love how you carried the postal dies throughout the layout on the first card and as for card two... her vellum sleeves look awesome and her nails. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteIt's always a win to come up with two cards --and use some NBUS, too! It's even better when the cards are as delightful as yours! Love the details on the postage card, and the second card is extra special with the vellum sleeves and pretty pink nails.
ReplyDeleteGo girl, who doesn't love a twofer and NEBUS too! :)
ReplyDeleteNot one but TWO beautiful cards. I LOVE the postal dies but that second card with the hands holding the heart-pefection!
ReplyDeleteYou go, Jules! You are really getting those NBUS toys broken in! The postage stamps with their tiny flowers are lot prettier than the USPS has! I love the hands holding the heart and that you gave her vellum sleeves.
ReplyDeleteYes, look at you go Jules with your twofer! I am still in love with anything postage, so your first card is a total winner in my book! And it just looks SO GOOD with the just the red & pink colors!! Your 2nd card is just as sweet and I love that EF you used! And the vellum sleeves too! Two AWESOME cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteYayyy for a twofer, my friend! Of course, you know I'm smitten with your postage stamp card; the colour blocked effect is eye-catching and how cute are those itty bitty florals. Love this! And bring it on over to Inkspirational when you get a chance...

Love a twofer as you know Jules! The postage collage card is so current and so fabulous to look at. Your second card, the traditional Valentine is so beautiful with the embossed background and the holding hands die!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty cards! Lovely to have our team collaborate with yours~
ReplyDeleteYou're killin' it Jules, using those NBUS products! You're going to work through that big pile in no time lol! Both cards are fabulous. I love that bright pink Thanks on the first and the hands holding the heart is such a cool design.
ReplyDeleteLovely layers and design made with these beautiful nesting postage stamp dies. Thanks for sharing with us at Inkspirational.
