Seize the Birthday #297

Welcome to a new year of Seize the Birthday challenges!  We are starting out with a challenge chosen by Cathy, our hostess.  This one should be very easy for most all of us.....Use Something New.

As I mentioned in my recent post, I have a whole BIN full of NBUS products.  Darnell better get ready!  (If you aren't familiar with Darnell's challenge I encourage you to check her out and upload your cards to her monthly gallery.)

I closed my eyes *wink* and pulled out this die set from Spellbinders.  I used a bunch of scrap cardstocks to create the elements and followed the design on the packaging.  The background was embossed and the sentiment is a pre-printed strip.

Supplies:
Spellbinders - I Dance die set
Simon Says Stamp - Sentiment strip set
Spellbinders - Meandering Floral embossing folder
Trinity Stamps - pearls

I invite you all to visit our blog for more inspiration from the team.  We have Amanda as our Surprise Party Guest for the next two months.  Also joining us in today's challenge are Denise and Valerie, two of our past winners.  Play along with us in the gallery for a chance to guest with us in the future.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Jules

  4. This post and the two before it are a gift to me and incredible inspiration to everyone to use their NBUS, Jules! I love the commitment and hope to follow suit when I get my battery charged. (We are just back from vacation.) I love each of your fun makes, which are so detailed and colorful. I can tell that you truly enjoy the fiddly process and that makes me smile. I'll bet you love jigsaw puzzles, too! Thank you for linking your first three successes to NBUS and I look forward to many more! Happy New Year, my friend! Hugs, Darnell

  6. How brave are you to just close your eyes and pull something out of a bin. Then you go on to create a fantastic card with your selection. This is a fun and a great challenge to begin 2025. He also made great use of your scraps, love your colors.

  10. You won't believe this - the other day I saw a pin in pinterest of a lady having a big bouquet of flowers covering her face and this card totally reminds me of that!
I do love how well you've used the dies here (yet again!!) and the colors as well. Just how do you make this out of something pulled out with eyes closed and a bunch of scraps??? I wish that for me too!! :D Great card, Jules!
