Color Hues #101

The Color Hues team is here to welcome you to 2025!  Our first challenge of the new year is Kraft and Red chosen for us by Sheri.  I have a whole bin of NBUS products and I resolve to use each and every one of them by spring.  (Watch out Darnell!)

My card today uses the Shopping Cart die from Spellbinders.  Personally I like to call it My Target Cart.

I added in an accessory set to fill up my cart.  I think the bows are actually floral elements but I repurposed them for a cart full of wrapped holiday surprises.  Everything here was die cut in the colors shown.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a strip of red cardstock.

Supplies:
Spellbinders - Right Facing Shopping Cart die set
Spellbinders - Holiday and Presents die set
Spellbinders - Santa's Sippin' Sayings stamp set
Spellbinders - Stylized Lattice embossing folder
Misc 6x6 paper pads

We have Stephanie guesting with us today.  I invite you all to visit our blog for more colorful inspiration.

A wonderful 2025 is my wish for you.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jules

  1. I have this cart too Jules and have never used it either! Well I take that back...I die cut it out when I first got it and then put it back in the package as I didn't know how to make it into a card at the time. Thinking I better get it out and use it! But anyway, your card is fabulous in the challenge colors and I'm loving all those wonderfully wrapped gifts in the cart! You nailed this challenge my friend!! Hugs and Happy New Year!! :0)

  2. Your Target cart, loaded up with wrapped gifts, is a brilliant way to showcase the challenge colours. Clever you! I have nearly the entire cart collection and haven't used any of it for ages. I need to add it to my 'shopping my stash' list for this year!
    Hugs and Happy New Year!

  4. Well, I think you've inspired me to get a move on with my NBUS. I promised myself I'd empty it this year, but having an end date (spring?) is a better idea. This is a great card--and one which I identify far too strongly. (Another reason my NBUS box is too full.) The assortment of gifts with their big bows really make an impact!

  5. This Target shopping cart is such fun and how nice that it's full of wrapped gifts, Jules! What a brilliant idea to make bows out of the flowers! I wonder if I can use all my NBUS by spring! That's a great goal for the new year!
