Color Hues #99

Today's post is all about Pink and Aqua, the two new colors for our mid month Color Hues challenge.  Our host this fortnight is Marcia who chose this wonderful color duo.  We also want to welcome Bonnie Klass to our Design Team and also joining us this challenge is Teresa.  I hope you'll give them both a warm welcome.

Now on to my card....

My interpretation of Aqua is a bit different than the graphic but
that's why we call this COLOR HUES!  (By the way, this PaperTrey Ink
cardstock is actually named Aqua Mist so you choose your favorite hues.)

I used a fuchsia floral for my focal point.  (Say that three times fast!)  The pinks were all cut from white cardstock and blended with Distress Oxides.  The branch was cut from aqua cardstock and then shaded with Distress Oxides to give it a bit of depth.  The finished branch was adhered to an oval die cut which was popped up onto an embossed card base.  Aqua pearls provided the finishing touch.

Supplies:
Memory Box - Little Fuchsia Flower Trio Branch die set
Spellbinders - Essential Modern Ovals die set
Spellbinders - Sentiments of Wonder Better Press
Spellbinders - Intertwined Lattice embossing folder
Trinity Stamps - Mirrored Mint Pearls

I invite you to visit our blog for more inspiration from our Design Team and guest.  I hope to see your creation in our gallery!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. What a beautiful card, Jules! I love that embossing folder which is going on my wish list--the Modern Ovals are already there! Fuchsias are one of my favorite flowers, and I'm also wondering why I don't own these dies, too. This could be an expensive visit to your blog!
