Greetings and Salutations! Edna is back on the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers blog with a twist on our annual Pink challenge. Rather than Pink Halloween our prompt this fortnight in October is E is for Everything Pink.
We are looking for an abundance of pink on your cards.
In true Sisterhood Spirit I went "full on" Pepto Bismol!
I began by ink blending three pink hues of Distress Oxides onto a piece of white cardstock which I then used to die cut my vintage phone elements. I die cut the handset and phone again three times in black cardstock which I stacked under the pink for some shadow and dimension. The background began with a panel of pink cardstock which I stamped with the text background before heat embossing it in white. I then used the same three Oxides to ink blend the background. The sentiment was cobbled together using stamp sets from two different companies. I stamped it in black onto a blended panel, heat embossed it in clear and then cut it into a wide strip to use as grounding for my phone. I finished the card off with a triad of my favorite clear droplets.
I invite you to visit our blog loads more pink inspiration. We'd love to see your pink creations in our gallery!

ReplyDeleteI think that phone is so much fun and in my favourite colour!! Love love love!
ReplyDeleteOh fabulous Julie! This colour reminds me of the fabulous Kay Thompson singing 'Think Pink' in Funny Face. Love that blended background. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late commenting, I've had family to stay and after not having seen them since before the pandemic I didn't want to waste a precious moment with them!
ReplyDeleteIt's an absolutely beautiful card, so well thought out so that everything works perfectly together.
