CAS Colours and Sketches #422

June is upon us which means we have a new hostess for the month.  CAS Colours and Sketches DT member Shannon has chosen this lovely color combination for everyone to try.

For our color challenges, you must use all of the stated challenge colors. You may also use neutrals
such as white, ivory, black, brown, grey, or metallics; however, no other colors should be added to
your card. We use Stampin' Up color names for reference, but you are welcome to use any other
companies' products as long as you match the challenge colors as closely as possible.

Those who know me are aware of my lack of love for the color purple.  It's my least liked color with true oranges coming in a close second.  All that to say that this was truly a CHALLENGE for me.

I kept the card very simple.  I stamped the three part butterfly with inks closely matching the challenge colors, added a sentiment and some clear droplets.  I opted to emboss the front panel of my card base to give it a bit more interest.

I invite you to visit our blog for more inspiration.  We'd love to see your creation in our gallery.

Supplies:
MFT - Brilliant Butterflies stamp set
MFT - Well, Hello
Hero Arts - Woodgrain cover die
Trinity Stamps - clear droplets

Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends.   _____________________________________________________________________________

  5. Jules as a purple-lover this card ticks all my boxes! I love the simple layering of the stamps and I'm guessing it would look great in lots of other colourways too. Great peek of the embossed base too. Gorgeous!

  7. OH my! I am truly sorry that purple is clearly not wanted in your wheelhouse, but I so do appreciate and love what you have created for this challenge. So light, simple and beautiful! I am so in love with this butterfly as well - it seems to be falling into my path a lot lately - I think it is a sign it wants to be in my stash! Thanks for being a trooper.
