Twofer Card Challenge #35

The idea behind the Twofer Card Challenge is to create two cards using the same stamp/stencil/die along with their prompt. The concept is simple however I struggle with the execution.  The current theme is balloons.

The simplicity of my cards do not reflect the amount of mental struggle involved.  LOL!  I think my mojo has left the building.

The first card involved stamping, coloring and cutting the images which I placed on a Distress Oxide ink background.  To create card #2 I had to do a bit of masking so that my balloon strings went behind the little Ninja.  I added some glossy accents to my colored balloons, strips of gold cardstock and black/white striped vertical borders and a diagonal line of tiny gold stars.

I'm happy with the end result but I'm even more thrilled that they're finally done.  Sometimes I make things way harder than need be.

Supplies:
MFT - Balloon Bundle stamp/die
Create a Smile - Dr's Helper stamp set
Waffle Flower - Snail Mail stamp set

MFT - Balloon Bundle stamp/die
Mama Elephant - Tiny Ninja stamp set
Waffle Flower - Make a Fish stamp set (sentiment)
Honeybee Stamps - gold stars
MFT - diagonal striped 6x6 paper pad

  1. And sometimes you are just too hard on yourself, Jules! Your mojo didn't leave the building until after you made these super cute cards! Your get well porkiepine hefting that big sign loaded with glossified colorful balloons is the best! I almost wish I were sick so I could ask you to send it to me, lol! Even cuter, if that's possible, is your little Ninja swooping in with a big bouquet of bright red balloons to wish someone a happy birthday! Thank you so much for playing in TCC #35! Keep well and safe! Hugs, Darnell

  2. These are great! I was admiring the design of the Get Well card and the colours of the ballons (don't think I see many balloons on cards in green, but definately in real-life multi-packs) ; then I saw you Ninja card and it just gave me a big smile!

  3. This pair of cuties was worth all your effort, Jules. What I'm seeing, are two very well designed, well executed cards. Your get well card is delightful. The green panel, centered, draws the eye right into your focal point, and every image is colored perfectly. I love, love, love the stripes hugging the edges of your birthday card, too. Again, you've drawn us in to your focal point! That little ninja looks amazing floating under your red balloon bunch. Your mojo was working in overdrive for both of these cards. So very happy that you played along with The Twofer Challenge! Thanks for joining us! Stay safe. Bev

  4. All those mojos, congregating somewhere, creating the next Mona Lisa or Campbell soup cans. I can completely understand how this may have taken more effort than may show in the results - but the results are still very fun! Nicely done.
