Inspired By #159

The inspiration photo for the current Inspired By challenge is just so sweet.  I've been on a bit of a bird kick lately (as you will see in future posts) so this challenge got me really excited.

One of my favorite color combinations is a mix of two Simon Says Stamp inks, Cloudy Sky and Fog.  They are just so pretty together.

I began with a stencil.  I first blended the Cloudy Sky onto some white cardstock and then flipped the stencil over and added a layer of Fog.  I created a matte for this panel by blending the Cloudy Sky along the edges of a white cardstock panel cut just a smidge larger than the stenciled panel. I then set about creating my bird and branches.  I ink blended both colors onto white cardstock and used that to die cut my elements.  I arranged them onto the stenciled panel, added a white heat embossed sentiment and then adhered this panel to a white card base made from fog cardstock.  Tonic Nuvo drops in Oyster Grey and Duck Egg Blue were the perfect finishing accompaniment.  Isn't this a lovely color combo?

I had some bits leftover so I created a simple Happy Birthday tag from the scraps.
