Today's card was created with the latest Color Hues Challenge in mind. The colors this time around are peach and green.
The first idea to pop into my head was of course florals but I challenged myself to dig a bit deeper. You all know my love for flamingos (flamingos for my daughter, sharks for my grandson) but did you know that most of them are not actually pink but rather a peachy/coral color?
A photo from my pre-2020 adventures.
Remembering that little tidbit helped make this challenge easy.
Supplies:
Hero Arts - Color Layering Flamingo stamp
Queen and Co - Polkas background die
PinkFresh Studio - You Are Amazing stencil set
Taylored Expressions - Simple Strips stamp and die set
It's a New Year! Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends. _____________________________________________________________________________

I think us Florida girls know that Flamingos are more on the peachy side of things. LOL Love where your thought process went when you saw the color combo we had this week. Love the stamped heart background and the added bonus of the polka dots too. Nice card Julie! Thanks for linking up with us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteI was very surprised to learn from watching some NOVA thing that the color of their feathers very much depends on their diet ... shrimp cocktail anyone?
ReplyDeleteLOve your very clever use of these peaches and greens, Jules!

Even the teeny tiny number of flamingos I've seen - they're not exactly baby pink! So this is perfect! Beautiful background for the main attraction, too. Thanks for adding this to Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteThat flamingo is a wonderful focal point, especially in front of your green heart and polka-dots! Such a creative use of peach and green! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteOH, this does make me smile! I love the polka dots and the leafy heart die cut together. The flamingo looks regal and so peachy! Great take on our challenge, Julie. Thanks for joining us at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, this definitely made me smile! The colors pop beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Color Hues Challenge Julie!
