CAS(E)This Sketch #405 - The Final Edition

I'm here to play along with the final challenge over at the CAS(E) This Sketch blog. I'm sad to see it go but they've had a great run and it's been a lot of fun participating.  Their final sketch is actually a throwback to sketch #25.

I am in need of some no frill cards I can use for guys so with that in mind, here's what I created.

I substituted the words Happy in place of the three tags in the sketch.  I used three different shades of pool/teal cardstock on which I heat embossed the words and then cut them out with coordinating dies.  I used a cover plate to add a bit of texture to a black card panel.  I added a strip of black/white checked patterened paper the the left edge, adhered the die cut words, heat embossed the birthday sentiment in white and finished it off with some black and white clay stars.  The card was complete after adhering the panel to a card base made with white 110 lb cardstock.

I wish Chrissy all of the best.  Thanks to you and your team for all of the inspiration!

Lawn Fawn - Happy, Happy, Happy stamps and dies
PaperTrey Ink- background cover plate
Kat Scrappiness - clay stars
Pink and Main - b/w gingham paper

It's a New Year!  Continue to stay safe and healthy my friends.   _____________________________________________________________________________

Thank you for visiting my little crevice of the crafty blogosphere.  Your time, comments and friendship are much appreciated.

Happy Crafting!

  1. I like that thin strip of patterned paper to set off the three Happys! Such a fun way to interpret the sketch, and perfect as a masculine card.

  2. I'm so happy, Happy, HAPPY that you've joined in our final play date, Julie! Some guy is going to be loving this card - I do, too!

  3. This is a beautiful design and great take on the challenge, Jules! I love the b/w with the little touches of pattern and aqua! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
