CAS Colours and Sketches #398

It's Tuesday once again and we have another challenge for you all over at the CAS Colours and Sketches blog.  Today's new challenge is a fun landscape sketch.

Keep in mind that you can flip and/or rotate the sketch for your card.

I still had my this stamp set sitting on my desk so I grabbed a different image and made another fun holiday card.

This one was pretty easy to make.  I stamped the five holiday lights vertically, spacing them out as per the sketch.  There is only one string of lights in the set so I did some masking along the top to make them shorter on the sides and longest in the middle.  I stamped, colored and die cut the shark and candy cane which I adhered over the top of the lights, adding the white embossing greeting below.  I love when an idea executes itself perfectly with no fuss.  :-)

Happy Thanksgiving Week to my US friends.  It's going to be a different holiday for us this year, that's for sure.  If you're like me and unable to spend time with your extended family, crafting is excellent therapy.  Come join us!

Stay safe and healthy my friends!

  1. Super creative use of the sketch! I love the Christmas lights entangled with the shark. And that sentiment is perfect!

  2. Julie, I don't know if you planned it, but the lights look like strands of seaweed growing from the bottom of his ocean... clever girl! Fabulous sentiment, Jawsome Christmas card!!
