Color Hues #121

It's November 1st which means it's time for a new color duo at the Color Hues Challenge blog.  Sheri is our host and she's chosen Orange and Brown as her color pairing.  Let's get right to it!

I created a very simple card using two die sets set against a dark brown background.  The smaller panel is popped up with fun foam.  The die cuts are double stacked with the upper layer popped up with thin foam adhesive squares.  I added a few gold pearls as the finishing touch to this very simple design.

Supplies:
Spellbinders - Sealed Ginkgo die set
Memory Box - Happy Birthday Breezy Script die set
Spellbinders - gold pearl stickers

I invite you to visit our blog where we have lots of inspiration from our team as well as our guest, Valerie.  We would love to see your card in our gallery so consider playing along.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #268

For a year in which each day feels to be four years in length it's difficult to fathom that it's already November.  (Please assure me that I'm not alone.)  On the bright side we have a new fun and festive challenge for you at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  Show us your snarky beverage themed cards!

After a bit of thought I opted to create a Christmas themed design.

I chose a red/orange/yellow color scheme for my holiday design.  I layered my cocktail in these colors and created a design to have it resting in a hand.  I grounded the focal point onto a scalloped panel dissected in two colors.  The upper portion was run through an embossing folder for texture.  The bottom portion was stamped with the sentiment.  The bracelet beads were created from the fingernail dies.  As finishing touches I added some clear gems and used a white gel pen to draw some faux stitches.

Supplies:
The Greetery - Holding Hands die set
Paper Trey Ink - Scalloped Layers die set
Altenew - Masonry Wall embossing folder
MFT Stamps - Sassy Pants Holidayt Too stamp set
Honeybee Stamps - Raise a Glass die set

I invite you to visit our blog for more inspiration and hope to see your card in our gallery!

Thanks so much for visiting!
